TANKENGINE are a self described brutalist art rock band from Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom. They pride themselves, perhaps wrongly, of being clever and stupid at the same time. The superpower trio are comprised of Iván Diaz on drums (Little Moscow and formerly of Lingua Vulgaris, Jolly Green Giants), Ross Harley on vocals and bass (formerly Tomahawks for Targets, yourcodenameis:milo, Crucial Taunt) and Adam Hiles on vocals and guitar (formerly of Mammal Club, yourcodenameis:milo, The Sh*tty Beatles). The story of how they met is fascinating. The name yourcodenameis:milo might prick a few ears, if it doesn’t then they were definitely hyped a lot during the time when you actually watched MTV2, they created a whole lot of debt that may or may not have led to a world-wide banking crisis and they worked with both Flood and Steve Albini along the way; all of that should give you a hint of what sort of thing this is you’re dealing with.

This is their new music but it is not their first rodeo. They have been to many, many rodeos.
