FESTIVAL READY
Whether you’re an ArcTanGent newbie or you’ve been every year, there is something on the Festival Safe site for everyone. Festival Safe offers advice on how to be festival-ready, whether it’s helping you to decide what tent to buy or how to cope with portaloos! Festival Safe has useful information to help make your ArcTanGent experience the best possible.
IF YOU NEED HELP ON SITE
ArcTanGent has 24 hour security and stewards between the hours of 0800 – 0000. Security and stewards are approachable at all times to help you with whatever you need. You can also visit the Information Point within Wristband Exchange where our Welfare Manager and the Welfare Team will be based. Everyone is very friendly and happy to help you at any time of night or day.
FIRST AID
There is on-site first aid provided by St. John’s Ambulance who provide first aid teams on site 24/7.
FESTIVAL SAMARITANS
Samaritans have a welfare tent on site which is open 24/7 if you need someone to talk to. The Samaritans won’t judge or tell you what to do. For more information on the welfare support that the Samaritans offer, please visit their website. If you need them when ArcTanGent is not happening, you can call them on 116 123.
ALCOHOL ALLOWANCE AND DRUG POLICY
Illegal Substances may not be brought into the site. You may be searched at the entrance. Refusal to be searched will result in the denial of entry. More information is available on our security page.
Anyone 18 years and over can bring in either a crate of beer/cider or one bottle of spirits (decanted into a plastic container – no glass on site). This is a stipulation of our license. Anyone bringing extra alcohol onto the site may have it confiscated so that our license is not compromised. Please drink responsibly. Buying alcohol for those under the age of 18 is prohibited by law. More information is available on our security page.
ADVERSE WEATHER
ArcTanGent is situated on top of the Mendip Hills on greenfield farmland. The location of the festival site means that the event may experience adverse weather conditions which may become hazardous if you are not prepared. Please ensure you bring appropriate footwear and clothing to cater for the possibility of wet, muddy, and slippery conditions. In the event of a sunny event, the sun can be very strong, so please ensure you have a hat, suncream and carry plenty of drinking water with you at all times, these can topped up free of charge from our refill stations around the festival site.
Electrical storms
- Stay away from electrical equipment.
- Take shelter until the storm has passed.
- Avoid contact with the metal supports of a structure.
SEXUAL SAFETY POLICY
ArcTanGent has a zero-tolerance policy toward any kind of sexual assault or harassment at our festival. We take a survivor-led approach, which is underpinned by policies, procedures, and training. You can read the full Sexual Safety Policy here.
ACCESSIBILITY
If you have accessibility requirements, please visit our accessibility page.
