Frontierer is a Scottish-American band formed in 2011 by Scottish guitarist Pedram Valiani and American vocalist Chad Kapper. Known for their unrelenting and uncompromising sound, they fuse mathcore cacophony with downtuned, bludgeoning tones, creating a progressive metal sound layered with electronic elements. Their debut album, 'Orange Mathematics' (2015), was followed by 'Unloved' (2018) and 'Oxidized' (2021). In December 2024, they released the EP 'The Skull Burned Wearing Hell Like A Life Vest As The Night Wept'. Frontierer has been recognised in Rolling Stone's Best Metal Albums and cited in Bandcamp Daily's article 'A History Of Mathcore' as delivering a "venomous brand of future-punk well worth exploring."
