Lili Refrain is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and performer based in Rome. Active since 2007, her solo project is built around electric guitar, voice, percussion and synthesizers, layered in real time through loop stations, without the use of computers or pre-recorded tracks.

Her music moves through ritualistic and visceral sonic territories, blending minimalism, folk, psychedelia, blues, metal and lyrical influences into a personal and hypnotic language. Her live performances are immersive and cathartic experiences, capable of leading the listener beyond the boundaries of any genre.

Following the release of her fifth album “Mana” (Subsound Records, 2022), Lili Refrain established herself as one of the most recognizable voices in contemporary ritual music, performing at major European festivals including Roadburn, Hellfest, Desertfest, Inferno, Motocultor and many others.

Between 2022 and 2025, she undertook extensive tours throughout Europe and the United Kingdom, both as a headliner and alongside Heilung, Eivør, The Cult, Death Cult and Kalandra.

On March 27, 2026, her new album “NAGALITE” will be released via Subsound Records, preceded by the single “Nagal”, recorded and mixed by Stefano Morabito at 16th Cellar Studio, with artwork by Nicola Alessandrini. A new chapter that further deepens the ritualistic, hypnotic and archetypal dimension of her artistic vision.
