Sleepytime Gorilla Museum (SGM) is an unclassifiable band blending avant-prog metal, noise, and RIO, with performances that defy categorisation. Their chaotic sound features a mix of traditional rock instruments, homemade creations like the Sledge Hammer Dulcimer, and unique contraptions. Known for their intense live shows, SGM’s music spans from euphoric highs to black metal blasts, enhanced by Butoh dance, puppet shows, and Futurist poetry. Returning in 2024 after a 13-year hiatus with Of The Last Human Being, they’ve reignited their legendary performances. Sleepytime's music, inspired by madness, love, and industrial collapse, continues to captivate their fervent cult following.
