Thank is a Leeds-based band renowned for their mischievous agit-rock approach, blending anxious disco grooves, harsh noise freakouts, and inscrutable sprechgesang. Born from the city’s now-defunct DIY collective CHUNK, they released their debut album Thoughtless Cruelty in 2022, followed by a mix of EPs and splits. Their sophomore album, I Have A Physical Body That Can Be Harmed (2024), is a volatile post-punk record, merging the raw ferocity of their early work with electronic experimentation. Known for their energetic live shows, Thank tackles themes of sex, death, and societal disillusionment, combining punk, techno, and anarcho-punk with a bold, satirical twist.
